OpsAny Developer Guide¶
Development on the OpsAny platform covers two areas:
- SaaS development: use the official frontend and backend frameworks to build standalone SaaS modules — for example, a dedicated capacity management platform.
- Plugin development: extend OpsAny with plugins written in Shell or Python — for example, asset collection plugins or automation scripts.
SaaS Platform Development¶
OpsAny separates the frontend from the backend. We provide matching frameworks to speed up development.
Backend Framework¶
The OpsAny backend framework lets you build on OpsAny Community Edition with unified authentication, unified permissions, notifications, dynamic themes and internationalization already integrated. It works out of the box.
Frontend Framework¶
This is the standard OpsAny SaaS frontend framework. It integrates the OpsAny user system, notifications and menu permission model, so you can start building a SaaS application immediately.
Plugin Development¶
OpsAny supports plugins written in Python, Shell and Golang.
Platform Plugins¶
Platform plugins include job platform scripts, asset collection plugins, metric collection plugins and inspection plugins.
Declarative Management¶
OpsAny ships with SaltStack and Ansible integration, so you can write the corresponding YAML configuration online.
